Process Improvement Engineer

An exceptional opportunity awaits a process improvement professional within the construction or manufacturing industry. The Process Improvement Engineer will spearhead process enhancements, establish manufacturing protocols, and improve technical guidance. across all facets of the business. With a strong emphasis on bolstering operational efficiencies, this role is pivotal in propelling the organization towards its objectives.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the conception and implementation of projects aimed at achieving company benchmarks for quality and cost, emphasizing operational streamlining and optimization of resources.
  • Deploy Lean Manufacturing methodologies, employing FPS techniques, time studies, Kaizen, 5s, and innovative process enhancements.
  • Investigate and address process inefficiencies to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Employ problem-solving methodologies such as root cause analysis to minimize variations and devise effective solutions.
  • Thoroughly document all operational procedures across the production facility.
  • Conduct comprehensive time and motion studies to determine optimal performance standards.
  • Identify barriers impeding quality and productivity targets and devise and implement remedial strategies.
  • Collect, analyze, and present process data to steer improvement endeavors and serve as an educational resource for disseminating findings.
  • Actively participate in and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as a technical authority within the company, focusing on cost reduction and enhancement of delivery timelines.
  • Undertake additional duties and projects as necessitated.

 


REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Demonstrated leadership in driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Possesses a positive, can-do attitude and exhibits self-motivation and strong teamwork.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent software.
  • Exceptional communication skills enabling effective interaction across all organizational levels.
  • Outstanding organizational aptitude with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to facilitate transformative change and lead multifaceted teams.

 


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Extended periods spent at a desk utilizing a computer.
  • Capability to lift up to 15 pounds intermittently.

 


SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position does not entail any supervisory or managerial responsibilities.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred 2-4 years of continuous improvement experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in drafting process enhancements and manufacturing principles.

 

JOB TYPE: Full-time

 

PAY: $60,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
